About Image Fusion

Jane Eakin commenced her career in the Australian Film Industry in 1992.

After working her way to director (news and sport) in regional television, she moved to Sydney and worked her way to becoming the youngest creative director for Network Ten, creating their iconic “seriously ten” image branding.

Commercials

After seven years of award-winning brand work, Jane moved into commercials, creating eye-catching ad campaigns for Nando Sauces, Sanitarium, GSK and Hyundai to name a few. She also directed channel and show launches for BBC First, Nine, TEN and Seven.

Shorts

Jane has produced a slew of award winning shorts in different genres (Locked up – horror, 101 Cupcakes – drama, Touch – YA drama and Road – mystery) which have been distributed world-wide, as well as an award-winning comedy web series (Bent101).

Direction

Jane has directed successful theatre seasons of WIT (New Theatre), Defeating Roger Federer (Musical Theatre – Low 302) and took part in directing three showcases of new Australian plays.

She has shadow directed under multi-award-winning Peter Andrikidis (Emerald Falls/ Black Jack) and Chris Martin-Jones (Packed to the Rafters) and directed an episode of StreetSmart for CJZ (ep6) as well being B Unit director for the entire series.

Writing

Jane’s writing skills have netted awards in both promotional circles, short films and on award winning reality series.

Her feature film Scrap Metal Hearts, a heart warming Australian drama, has been ranked top ten finalist, in ScreenCrafts Feature competitions, as well as Semi finalist at Raindance, and Quarter finalist in Page International and Runner up at Austin Film Fest.

Post production

Jane has used her story skills to post produce on the biggest reality shows in Australia including MAFS, Survivor and Gogglebox, Farmer wants a wife, and The Assembly.

Training

Jane studied at both AFTRS and NIDA and was named a director to watch by ADG and Create NSW in 2019.
